this study was conducted to determine the level of bank practices and preparedness against robbery in Digos city. the researchers aimed to determine, assess and evaluate the level practices and preparedness of the bank in Digos city.
the study used the descriptive - correlation method of research by which researchers administered the instrument to the forty six (46) respondents.
a self - made questionnaire is used by the researchers is the major tool in gathering the necessary data. the questionnaire is composed of two parts to answer the various research questions. part 1 dealt on the profile of the respondent such us age, sex, educational attainment and length of experience. part 2 consisted of twenty five (25) items of describing the practices and preparedness of bank robbery of Digos city particularly in alertness, criminal detection, firearm proficiency, close quarter battle training and communication equipment. each condition composed of five (5) item. the items enumerated in the questionnaire were validated by the experts for the purpose of its content validity and reliability.
highest percentage when it comes to age bracket is 21 - 30 with the frequency of 18, while the highest percentage when it comes to sex male with the frequency of 24; for the educational attainment the highest is college level with frequency is 26; the length of experience the highest is 6 - 12 months bracket with the frequency of 11; the level of practices with overall mean of 4.56 with the verbal description of very high and while while the level of practices with with overall mean of 3.95 with the verbal description of high.
based on the foregoing findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended in terms of criminal detection for security preparedness against robbery, the security guards of banks in Digos city must develop more and tight training to strengthen their capability to deter, detect and observed crimes. Also, must have clear and direct connection of the law enforcement in terms of alarm system.
