This study was conducted to determine the perceived cause of female sex workers in the municipality of Bansalan in terms of poverty, vices, childhood abuse, peer pressure and love and affection. The descriptive survey method was used in the study. A total of fifteen (15) respondents of the study. The study found out the following: Majority of the respondents believed that the cause of their being a sex worker is poverty. It showed an overall mean value of 3.55 described as high, Majority of the respondents who believed that the main cause of their being sex worker is poverty covers the age bracket of 18-21 years old. Representing a total population of 7 out of 15 indicated an average of 47%. Almost all of the respondents were Catholic covering 73% of the total respondents.
